Between the years


There is magic in the nights between the years. Dreams come true.

There is also magic in the days. 













Frida hiding from the rain


Christmas chocolate


More contemplation.


What do I want?


I am making decisions. Some of them painful. 

After so many years with my man, we are drifting apart. Realizing that we are on different boats, in a different current.


With me, hope dies very slowly.


Accepting. Being a mother, being a woman. And doing what has to be done.
Being as honest as I can stand it, and sometimes a bit more so.


Sitting with it.


 


And then letting it all be, drawing and painting with Eva, and loosing at noughts and crosses.


All is always well in the moment.


Watching her concentrate, the tongue peeking out. The wind throws the door closed. Dark clouds out of the blue. 

But no rain this time.



 



Blue people on the wall, glitter on my shirt, life encroaching and a raspberry cupcake.





Magic days to you.

    Love your honesty and find it fresh and real. It's good that your hope dies slowing. Sometimes the boats reunite...I do wish you magic, no matter wat coursethose boats take! We all deserve it. I could use a lot more magic myself!!! Love your photos...Frida is cute :) Happy New Year, Jutta.

    Time is a precious commodity and I'm sorry for the 10 yrs. I hung on. What seemed like a virtue was really a choice to remain in situation that didn't allow growth in either individual. For my part, fear of the future was the controlling factor. I know you have everything you need within you to handle these changes with grace, intelligence and courage.

    I'm a first time visitor - I came over from One Project Closer - so I'm hesitant to comment on such a personal post. However, my husband and I were in a really rough spot in our marriage about 10 years ago - we both felt like we were dying inside. We went to a Weekend to Remember Marriage conference (hosted by Family Life, they have them all over the country) and it forced us to really talk about our issues and get to the core instead of just the symptoms. We also read Love and Respect by Emmerson Eggerich and then talked about what we read. There's also a Love and Respect Marriage Conference, I've heard great things but we haven't been.

    The next time I read a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I know it was my choice to read, but I actually thought you have something interesting to say.
