An advent calendar is a lovely way to count down the days until Christmas. As children, we got one every year, just like Eva
does now.
It gets filled with little treats, and the kids (or grown-ups, if they are lucky :-) ) open one present every day from the first of December until Christmas eve.
This is Eva's advent calendar. I only put 12 little bags up for now (just counted them, and there are actually only 11, number 8 somehow vanished...), and once she has emptied those, the next 12 go on.
The calendar is really easy to make.
24 white paper bags
a Dymo, or a stamp, or a pen
a piece of wood
some golden string
some Christmas decorations
24 little surprises
Put the numbers on the bags, fill them, fold the top over, punch a hole in it, attach the string and hang up:
The golden and silver thingies are painted acacia and jacaranda seeds.
Have a wonderful day!
Lots of love,
I am linking to these lovely parties.
