Thank you so much for the good wishes ;-). So far, my computer is still sick...
And all the free time I have by not hanging out in cyberspace is all of a sudden taken up with work. Which is wonderful
from a financial point of view. It is also great because I do enjoy my work a lot.
But what I actually want to do is some pottering around.... Some sewing and some crafting and some (a lot!) of sorting
and cleaning and purging and putting everything in its place.
Unfortunately I am not the 'use every little moment' type of person. I want a big stretch of time in front of me to do exactly
as I please before starting on projects.
And between work and constantly repeating the same actions (cooking, cleaning, feeding, watering....), these big empty
blocks of time are strangely rare.
So no new project just yet, but some more bits and bobs, ordinary moments from our day-to-day life.
Early morning in the garden:
Beauty in the ordinary:
Lunch:
To make sweet potatoe mash, roast the sweet potatoes in the oven until soft. Peel, add some butter, some buttermilk
and some normal milk, mash, season, heat up again and enjoy (I didn't publish the picture of the finished mash, as it
looks rather grey and lumpy :-). But it tastes very good!):
Colours:
Mulberry bounty. So delicious!:
Seashell collection on the outside table (and discovery of a bowl I have been missing since last week):
African sunset:
Lots of love to you!

So that's what a mulberry looks like! Aside from the nursery rhyme about going 'round the mulberry bush, I've no experience with them. They look like raspberries or blackberries--but larger, so I guess you do them same kinds of things with them, right? Mulberry pie, maybe?
ReplyDeleteAs always, I love looking at your pics. I love it most that you find the beauty in the ordinary, everyday things to share with us. It makes me appreciate my own home more. I look at things differently after visiting your blog. Thanks.
I love seeing stuff from your everyday life Jutta! I have a mulberry tree too! I get the most fascinating birds, that I don't see any other time than when it has berries!
ReplyDeleteHoping you find large chunks of time to create and in turn inspire.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, as usual.
