Easter garland

Only two more weeks until my favorite holiday of the year!

I love everything about Easter.

The reason we celebrate it, the easter egg hunt, the bunnies and lambs and chickens and eggs, the food, and the excitement about the arrival of spring (personally, I am trying to get some enthusiasm going for the arrival of autumn,
but somehow the spring fever is still with me).

This morning I had a serious talk with the chickens and they agreed (I think) to have a go at laying some eggs in the foreseeable future, which will then be fussed over and painted and boiled and beautified.

But today (for a change) we have a project involving bunnies.

Here is my new Easter garland:

If you would like to make one of your own, you will need:

Print-out of bunnies (or chickens, eggs, lambs, flowers....)
string (I would have loved to use baker's twine but didn't have any, so I just used ordinary string)
little metal rings (we still had lots left over from my daughter's various earring projects, they are not compulsary, but they make it easier for the rabbits to hang straight)

I printed the bunnies on thin cardboard paper:

Cut them out, use a needle to make a hole and put the little ring through. Then pull your string through the ring and make a knot to keep the bunny in place:

Hang up and enjoy:

Lots of love,

  5. Liebe Jutta,
