Rustic wineglass rack DIY

I have two old wooden crates in my kitchen that I use for cups and glasses. They look great, but it is quite crowded in there and the glasses keep getting banged.
So today I build a quick and easy wineglass rack.

If you would like one too, here is what to do:

You will need

1 plank (I used a part of a pallet)
wooden stick
wood glue
drill and drill bit

Start by sawing the plank to the desired length. Mine is 35 cm (13.7 inches) long:

Cut the wooden stick into 4 equal pieces, mine are 18 cm (7 inches)each:

Drill 4 holes in total, choose a drill bit that is as thick as your sticks. My first hole is 9 cm (3.5 inches) in, the second one 10 cm (3.9 inches) in, the third one 9 cm in from the other side, and the fourth one 10 cm in from the other side:

Glue the sticks into the holes:

Hang the rack on the wall using two screws and two fisher plugs:

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday!

  1. Love the look but I kinda get stopped at the "saw" part. I can just see me taking wine glasses off the cool holder with my hook hand. lol ~ Maureen

  2. Liebe Jutta,

die Idee gefällt mir. Schaut gut aus bei Dir in der Küche und das
Holz sieht toll vom Farbton her aus.

    Ganz liebe Grüße
